Electrostatic / Heart Rate ??

I seem to be more electrostatic, i don%26#039;t know why.

What causes a person to be more electrostatic?

Like i%26#039;ve been getting little shocks from plants, and metals, and people...

Could being electrostatic affect the heart rate?

Since electric compulsions control the rate a heart pumps.

Electrostatic / Heart Rate ??

Friction and low humidity are the two main causes of electrostatic shock.

Electricity is static (as in it is unchanging) - you are the moving part. Therefore, you are not getting shocked from items, but rather you are the one doing the shocking. Do you drag your feet on your carpet? Are your clothes often static-y? What kind of soles do you have on your shoes? Leg hair can especially attract ions. You are somehow irritating and increasing the build-up of ions and are releasing them when you touch items. It is usually best to touch metal items as they disable the charge and it is painless to you.

It would take quite a large amount of electrostatic shock to effect the heart rate (think of %26#039;heart-shocking%26quot;, like when a patient in an ER has lost their heart rate and they are %26#039;shocked%26#039; with pads). Not enough passes when you %26#039;get%26#039; shocked to effect your heart rate.

To try to decrease or rid the amount of electro-shock you are experiencing, you could a) put a humidifier in your home, b) mix water and fabric softener into a bottle and spray on your carpet and clothing, c) try to be aware of dragging your feet while walking through the house and d) test your shoes. Rubber materials that create a lot of friction with cotton/fur/other synthetic materials can build up the electric charge that you are holding.

Hope this helps.
